We are located in a tiny mountain town. It is very challenging to find quality/reliable cleaning help. This is not a big city, or an expensive resort town. Our cleaning schedule is very tight and strict every single day of the week. We cannot adjust our check-in and checkout times without an additional fee. Please do not leave us negative reviews because we can't provide you an early check-in or late checkout without an additional fee. That is not what the Airbnb community is about. We take great care in providing an amazing clean cabin/condo upon check-in. This takes time & attention to detail from our very tiny team. If our times or fees don't align with your needs or budget, please do not book with us. We truly want you to be happy, and not mad at us because we can't adjust our times without a fee. We cannot arrange an early check-in or a late checkout without at least 24 hours notice. It is not possible to coordinate it the same day as you arrive, or the morning you are set to depart.

If you use the pack-n-play, you are responsible to clean it and put it away.
This cabin is located on a larger piece of property with a workshop approximately 50 feet from the cabin, and another cabin approximately 100 feet away.
Please note in our listing that "beachfront" refers to having direct access to the creek. It is not a sandy beach, however Airbnb does not have a specific setting to note that it is the banks of the creek, which are rocky.
Everything except the utility and cleaning supply closets in the cabin are accessible. This property is part of a larger ranch. The rest of the property is off limits at all times. There are a couple cabins on the property, so there is usually someone around if you need help, but not always. Always contact us via the AirBnB app for assistance! By booking this listing, your access is for the Claimjumper Cabin only, and not the surrounding property or other ranch amenities.
The best way to get a hold of us during your stay is to contact us via the Airbnb app. If there is an emergency there is an emergency contact number listed in the cabin.
This is a vacation rental - not a hotel, we do not resupply basics or provide room service during your stay. If you are having an extended stay, please be certain to plan accordingly. No guest services are available onsite. Please do not rent the cabin if you require hotel services. We do have many helpers that live within 1 minute of this property, if there is a maintenance issue. This cabin was decorated according to the owners' specific taste. Please do not leave us a negative review due the the decor or linens not being as you would have chosen. We provide a couple rolls of toilet paper in addition to what is left on the toilet paper holder. We offer a selection of coffee/tea/cocoa pods to be used in the Keurig coffee maker as well as creamer powder, and an assortment of sugars and sweeteners.
We're only a few minutes from downtown/old town Idaho Springs, Colorado. There are some great local restaurants, pubs, breweries and shops to explore. There are also a ton of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area: horseback riding, ATV adventures, rafting, ziplining, mine tours, mountain biking, hiking, etc. We're located on the road that leads to Mt. Blue Sky (formerly Mt. Evans), so if you're looking for a good basecamp, stay with us! =) This cabin a guest cabin located on a large ranch. There are other buildings in the same area.

While we do receive a lot of snow during the winter, 4WD is not necessary to access the property. It is located on a frontage road, just off of Highway 103, which is maintained by the county. The property itself is well-maintained. It is typically shoveled & plowed promptly during heavy storms, but this can vary by how much and how fast the snow falls. We provide a shovel for each guest at each cabin/condo. We shovel cabin/condo entrances and decks as a courtesy to guests, during their stay, when we are able to get to them. If you require shoveling at a specific time, we can attempt to schedule it in advance, but cannot guarantee a specific time. We do need advance notice. Guests should always be prepared to shovel around their own vehicles in heavy storms.
We cannot guarantee that we can answer the phone at all hours of the day and night if you call. We have one phone, and the person who answers the phone cannot be awake 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you need anything whatsoever during your stay, you must message us via the Airbnb app. That is the only way we can provide a response. We have several staff members who monitor the messages, and can most promptly assist you in that manner.
Guests, please note that this cabin was built many, many years ago. Although it has had many beautiful updates done, it is an old building and is not ADA compliant. Some of its features may not be to current building code, but are consistent to its year of construction.
There have been sightings of bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, moose, and foxes in the area. This is their home too. Please make sure to bring all food inside at night. Do not sleep with the doors open. Animals can be curious!
Enter the creek at your own risk! We are not responsible if you injure yourself by going in the water. We do not recommend that you enter the creek, as it could be unsafe.
